What I'm Playing

At home Sandy builds his instrumental versatility around his Petrof IV 5'8" grand piano for its beautiful tone and great feel.

In the studio, he uses a PowerMac Pro running Logic Studio 8 and making use of various Plug Ins or Virtual Instruments. For a controller, he uses a CME VX-8 keyboard controller.

For live gigs he prefers using the CM VX-8 controller and Macbook Pro laptop running Mainstage and incorporating such virtual instruments as Ivory Grand Piano, Native Instruments Kontact, Scarbee and Lounge Lizard Fender Rhodes, Logic EVB3 and many other great sounding plug ins.

His sound system, when performing with his trio or quartet, is based on one or two Bose Personal Amplification Systems with from one to four subs, depending on venue size, for keys, key bass and vocals.
